Are you looking for an article about Middle Eastern history and culture for your website or publication? Or do you want someone to give a presentation about the Middle East to your class or organization? I am ready to work with you or your group to share my expertise.
Reach out here to tell me more, or browse through my services below. I’m excited to discuss your needs.
Publications and Content Creation
Do you need help drafting content about Middle Eastern history and cultures for your audience? I have over 15 years of experience writing about the Middle East for a diverse range of audiences. My written work includes publications in newspapers and newsletters, articles and reports for academic audiences, online pieces and book reviews, and a variety of blog posts. These include:
- Informational articles like “Teach Your Kids About Ramadan With These Books” for The Washington Post and “‘What Do I Do With My Degree in Religion?’: Finding a Job In National and International Development for Religious Studies News.
- Travel articles like “Taghit: An Algerian Oasis on the Edge of the Sahara” for GoNOMAD, and “6 Must-See Sights on the Road to Tatev, Armenia” and “What to See in Algiers, Algeria,” both for GoMadNomad.
- Academic pieces like “Defining the Media Du’a and Their Call to Action” in George Washington University’s POMEPS Studies vol. 23 and the annotated bibliography “Muslim Television Preachers” for Oxford Bibliographies.
I am happy to write similar articles, online content, or guest posts for your website or publication. Contact me and we can discuss how to work together.
Lectures and Presentations
Are you looking for someone to present to your group or at your event? I have given presentations and lectures to college classes, community organizations, scholarship students, and scholarly audiences. These include:
- Presentations to public audiences on Arab Americans in Michigan, an introduction to the Qur’an, and Muslim televangelists.
- Class discussions on the Arabic language and Middle Eastern history and civilizations as part of college courses at the University of Arizona and Georgetown University.
- Scholarly talks about my research on Muslim media preachers and Islamic televangelism.
I am ready to give a talk or lead a discussion about a broad range of subjects including Middle Eastern art, food, history, languages, literature, music, and more. Tell me what you are looking for and then we can discuss how I could help.
